J.K. Rowling kicked off her US book tour by signing 1,600 (that's sixteen hundred!!) books at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood yesterday. The author, who said she felt like she was "on vacation," was thrilled to be meeting her readers one on one. She hasn't started the promised Potter Encyclopedia yet but promises it will be soon.
